Roots of Kindness: Kids Sanctuary Experience

Hosted at Moo to Ewe Animal Sanctuary

Event Dates: 6th, 13th, 20th January 2026

Step into a world where kindness is our greatest teacher.
This special family experience invites children and their parents to discover the magic of Moo to Ewe — a safe haven for rescued farmed animals, where every resident has a story to tell.

Give your child a gentle, meaningful school-holiday experience at Moo to Ewe.

Our Roots of Kindness Kids’ Sanctuary Experience is designed to nurture empathy, confidence, and emotional intelligence through real-life stories of rescued farmed animals.

We begin with a guided sanctuary tour where children hear the individual stories of our residents and learn how animals think, feel, and form relationships. This is followed by creative and reflective activities that help the kids anchor what they’ve learned. They’ll contribute a painted kindness rock to our sanctuary trail and complete a one of a kind sanctuary made activity page (possibly here or it may be take home depending on the speed of the tour - each tour is different). These both encourage mindful thinking, emotional insight and personal expression!

Each child heads home with a plant based treat made by the sanctuary and a refreshment.

Roots of Kindness is ideal for children aged 8-11 who love animals and enjoys hand on experiences. The Roots of Kindness Experience will be led by Caroline, our kindhearted education co-ordinator. Caroline has been guiding families through Moo to Ewe for many years, sharing the stories of our rescued residents with warmth, patience and care. She brings a gentle, nurturing approach to every tour and activity, ensuring children feel safe, inspired, and connected to the animals.
