Roots of Kindness: Kids Sanctuary Experience

Hosted at Moo to Ewe Animal Sanctuary

Event Dates: 6th, 13th, 20th January 2026

Step into a world where kindness is our greatest teacher.
This special family experience invites children and their parents to discover the magic of Moo to Ewe — a safe haven for rescued farmed animals, where every resident has a story to tell.

Give your child a gentle, meaningful school-holiday experience at Moo to Ewe.

Our Roots of Kindness Kids’ Sanctuary Experience is designed to nurture empathy, confidence, and emotional intelligence through real-life stories of rescued farmed animals.

We begin with a guided sanctuary tour where children hear the individual stories of our residents and learn how animals think, feel, and form relationships. This is followed by creative and reflective activities that help the kids anchor what they’ve learned. They’ll contribute a painted kindness rock to our sanctuary trail and complete a one of a kind sanctuary made activity page (possibly here or it may be take home depending on the speed of the tour - each tour is different). These both encourage mindful thinking, emotional insight and personal expression!

Each child heads home with a plant based treat made by the sanctuary and a refreshment.

Roots of Kindness is ideal for children aged 8-11 who love animals and enjoys hand on experiences. The Roots of Kindness Experience will be led by Caroline, our kindhearted education co-ordinator. Caroline has been guiding families through Moo to Ewe for many years, sharing the stories of our rescued residents with warmth, patience and care. She brings a gentle, nurturing approach to every tour and activity, ensuring children feel safe, inspired, and connected to the animals.

Valentine's Day Lunch after your Tour

  • Palmdale Road Palmdale, NSW, 2258 Australia (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Join us at Moo to Ewe for a gentle Valentine’s Day lunch experience, created as a moment to slow down, connect, and spend time on this special land.

Guests will take part in our standard sanctuary tour, beginning at 11:00am and finishing at approximately 12:30pm, where you’ll meet the animals who call Moo to Ewe home and learn about their stories and daily lives.

This lunch experience is an optional addition to the tour. Following a brief reset after the tour, guests joining us for lunch will be invited to settle at their tables and enjoy time on the land — with views of the sheep grazing, the cows lazing, and the sanctuary moving at its own pace around you.

Lunch is a shared experience for two, featuring a seasonal, plant-based menu created with consciousness and care. Wherever possible, ingredients have been grown, foraged, or picked from the land itself, celebrating simplicity, nourishment, and respect for the animals and environment that surround us.

Checkout the menu here!

This experience is designed for friends, partners, or anyone you’d like to share a meaningful afternoon with. Space is intentionally limited to allow for presence, ease, and connection.

Why this event matters

At Moo to Ewe, we believe in Here With Us, Not For Us. The experiences we share are grounded in compassion, connection and community. This event is more than painting—it’s an invitation to slow down, meet beings whose lives changed simply by being allowed to live, and to reflect on how art and nature combine to heal and inspire.

You'll walk away not only with a personal keepsake but with new awareness of how four rescued cows can become ambassadors for many more lives. You’ll be supporting our work to care for hoofed, husked and furry residents through coming seasons, and helping us build momentum for our retreat-space dreams, our school-program expansions and our sanctuary-community partnerships.
